Every day when you wake up, what’s your primary motivation to leave the bed? You decide, “Today I will do this work,” but why? You could keep sleeping till noon, so what makes you wake up and engage in your daily tasks?

It’s your work or goals that you’ve set up for yourself to make your life meaningful. You wake up and think, “What is in my to-do list today?” It may seem routine, but this question defines who we are. It fuels us and keeps the rhythm of our life.

“They say that bread earned through hard work gives you internal satisfaction and peaceful sleep.”

Life is nothing without goals. Each day after we wake up, we thrive and think about what is on our list today that we have to work on.

I sometimes think - what if I had nothing to do? I’m just lying on my bed and relaxing the whole day, and money keeps coming just by doing nothing.

Isn’t it good? But we live in reality, not a dream world. We have to engage in work that keeps us motivated and grounded.
Even a hardworking man gets upset if he has nothing to do - even though he’s told to rest - because he has grown so used to working that the rest itself makes him unsettled.

A person without a goal is like a ship without direction - someone who doesn’t know which way to go. Every person in this world is bound to work for life - unless your parents are billionaires.

But let me tell you a fact: billionaires also do their everyday work and complete their goals. They have so much money, yet they still strive for more and want to keep growing by doing their work.

I would say billionaires are the people who set their goals in such a way that they complete them with intrinsic motivation, without needing any external rewards or pressure like we often do.

Let me explain these two types of motivation: one is intrinsic motivation, and the other is extrinsic motivation.
Intrinsic motivation means you don’t need any external medium to keep following your goals. You just think it’s important for you, and you do it with your own happiness and drive.

On the other hand, extrinsic motivation needs an external medium - something or someone that makes you complete your work with rewards or punishments.
Understand it like this: if someone gives you a billion dollars to get an A+ in your test, then you’ll definitely do it.

But if you have to do that on your own, then your mind starts rejecting that task and makes you feel like doing it is a burden. And You start ignoring it.

That’s why you need to become intrinsically motivated - and that happens when you find the work that suits your interests the most and keeps you engaged without any external hassle.

And if you’ve found that work, then congratulations - you are on the right path. And if you ever find yourself wishing for a life without work, then think about it.

Reflect on it - would that truly make you happy? Or would you eventually feel lost, directionless, and even anxious?
You just have to understand: you don’t need to avoid work -

you just need to find the right work for yourself. A kind of work that keeps you intrinsically motivated, excites you, and makes you feel alive.
