You know, something in everyone’s life needs to be hidden - whether it is about happiness or money. You don’t have to show off or tell anyone about your source of happiness because the world has bad eyes.
Our parents were never wrong when they said to hide your source of happiness and income. But nowadays, people are fond of sharing every detail of their life on social media. They mistake happiness for fame and money.
If you think fame can bring you happiness and respect through social media, then no - you are wrong. Social media can only bring you insecurities and tension, especially when you are a content creator.
“The snaps, the reels, the shorts, and the posts - all constantly remind you to share your day-to-day life on social media, showing the world what you’re doing today and what you plan to do tomorrow.”
People will praise you for what they think is right and abuse or troll you for what they think is wrong. They don’t care about your perspective at all. They will demand you do things that you may not want to do, but for views and subscribers, you feel you have to.
This modern generation needs validation in everything through social media. They don’t know what to show and what to hide. I have seen so many people who are fond of making everyday vlogs in which they show everything related to their life - I mean literally everything.
But they are not thinking about how dangerous it can be. Keeping your private and professional life separate is the thing they need the most.
Having a relationship with someone is okay, but putting your relationship on social media is not okay. Having a trip together is okay, but doing a livestream is not okay.
Having a date with someone is okay, but sharing the details of it on social media is not okay. Maybe the person with you starts feeling uncomfortable. Always remember: some things in life need to be kept secret. You must not unhide these secrets to the world.
“Validation is not something to be sought from the outer world; it comes from your heart, which tells you what is right and what is wrong.”
If you start understanding these things, then you will never seek validation from the outer world. If you want to share something with everyone, then share happiness and be an example of how to live happy and cheerful.
Because there are still many people in this world who are struggling to remain happy and peaceful.
