Reading the Bhagavat Gita has been very illuminating and expanding experience. There were many truths that striked me.
Bhagavad Gita taught me :
- Take great pleasure in your work : 💪
Do not let the fruit be the purpose of your actions, and therefore you won’t be attached to not doing your duty. In other words, enjoy the pleasure of journey more than just the destination, that’s what I’m doing now ❤ - Life is all about managing the emotions & Recipe to avoid the emotional rollercoaster : Astang Yoga 🧘♀️
Sattva ((fruits, green vegetables, milk), Rajas (spicy foods, steroids) and Tamas (fatty foods, leftovers). From Sattva arises wisdom, and greed from Rajas; miscomprehension, delusion and ignorance arise from Tamas. I was a hard core non-vegetarian, I left it 10 months back 🌿 - There is always a bigger power : 🕉🙏🏼
Gita says that you keep doing your duty in the best way you can and there will always be bigger power that will protect the truth
Here are five verses from the Bhagavad Gita that can inspire and motivate you:
- “The Power of God is always with you; through the activities of mind, sense, breathing and emotions; and is constantly doing all the work as you as a mere instrument.”
- “I am the aim of life, the lord and the inner witness, the abode of all. I am the only refuge, the one true friend;
“I am the beginning, the staying, and the end of creation. I am immortality and I am death; I am what is and what is not.” - “Death is assure for that which is born, as birth is for that which is dead. Therefore grieve not for what is inevitable.”
- “On this path effort never goes to waste, and there is no failure, even a little effort towards spiritual awareness will protect you from the greatest fear.”
- “What the outstanding person does, others will try do same. The standards such people create, will be follwed by whole world.”
