Gangaur Teej festival is celebrated on the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. This time this festival is on 11th April, Thursday. In Gangaur festival, mainly Mother Parvati and Lord Shiva are worshipped. Some measures can also be taken on this day to please Lord Shankar-Mata Parvati. These measures are as follows
1. According to Devi Bhagwat, if Mother Parvati is anointed with mango or sugarcane juice, then Lakshmi and Saraswati never leave the house of such a devotee. Wealth and knowledge reside there
2. According to Shivpuran, worshiping Lord Shiva with red and white fig flowers leads to enjoyment and salvation.
3. Offer ghee to Mother Parvati and donate it. This gives relief to the patient from sufferings and he becomes healthy.
4. By offering sugar to Goddess Parvati and donating it, the devotee gets a long life. By offering milk and donating it, one gets freedom from all kinds of sorrows. By offering Malpua and donating it, all kinds of problems get resolved automatically.

6. Worshipping Lord Shiva with Shami leaves gives salvation. Worshipping with Bela flower gives a wife with auspicious characteristics. Worshipping with Dhatura flower gives Lord Shankar a capable son, who brings glory to the family. Dhatura with red stalk is considered auspicious for worship.
7. If a stream of sugarcane juice is offered to Lord Shiva, then all pleasures are attained. Offering Ganga water to Shiva gives both enjoyment and salvation.
8. According to Devi Bhagwat, if Mother Parvati is anointed with camphor, agaru (fragrant plant), saffron, musk and lotus water along with the recitation of Vedas, then all types of sins are destroyed and the devotee gets success with little efforts.
9. Worshipping Lord Shiva with Juhi flower never causes shortage of food in the house. Worshipping with Durva increases the lifespan. Happiness and wealth increase by worshipping with Harsingar flowers.
10. According to Devi Bhagavat, offering bananas to Goddess Parvati and donating them brings peace and happiness in the family. Offering honey and donating it creates the possibility of acquiring wealth. Offering jaggery items and donating them eradicates poverty.
11. Wealth can be obtained by offering rice to Lord Shiva. Offering sesame seeds eradicates sins.
12. If Goddess Parvati is anointed with grape juice, the blessings of the Goddess remain on the devotees.
