Yes, I know fear exists. In fact, everyone feels it.

We are living in a time where expressing our feelings has become one of the bravest things a person can do. Telling someone, “I love you,” or simply confessing what your heart truly feels is no longer easy.

It requires courage — immense courage. Not because people fear rejection alone, but because they fear something even worse: humiliation, mockery, and rejection wrapped in disrespect.

Many people today remain silent, not because they do not love, but because they are afraid. Afraid that their emotions will be laughed at. Afraid that their vulnerability will be treated as weakness. Afraid that their sincerity will become someone else’s entertainment.

Perhaps this is one of the greatest tragedies of our generation.

The world around us has changed rapidly. Relationships have changed. The idea of love has changed. In the age of endless choices and unlimited options, people often treat relationships as temporary experiences rather than lifelong commitments. With a swipe on a screen, a new conversation begins; with another swipe, it ends.

Today with one person, tomorrow with someone else, and perhaps another person the day after.

It often feels as though emotions have become increasingly hollow. Genuine connections are being replaced by temporary excitement. Loyalty is being replaced by convenience. Many people no longer seek deep emotional bonds; instead, they seek novelty, validation, and instant gratification.

Cheating has become common. Betrayal has become normal. Breaking someone’s heart is often dismissed as “part of modern dating.” We hear stories of people being deceived, manipulated, and abandoned so frequently that some have started questioning whether true love still exists at all.

This raises a painful question: Have human feelings become so cheap that people must wander from one heartbreak to another simply in search of genuine love?

I refuse to believe that.

Because despite everything, not everyone is the same.

There are still people who believe in commitment. There are still individuals who value honesty, loyalty, sacrifice, and respect. There are still hearts that love sincerely, without games, without hidden intentions, and without conditions.

These people may not always be visible in a noisy world, but they exist. And I believe they are the ones carrying the true essence of love into future generations.

But where do such values come from?

The answer, more often than not, lies within the family.

Children are not born with values. They learn them. They absorb them every single day by observing the people around them, especially their parents. A child watches how parents speak to one another, how they treat others, how they respond to mistakes, and how they handle responsibility.

This is why parenting is not merely about providing food, education, and comfort. Parenting is about shaping character.

Loving children is natural. Every parent wants to protect their child from pain. However, there is an important difference between loving a child and blindly defending every action they take.

True love does not ignore wrongdoing.

An ideal parent is not someone who always says, “My child can never be wrong.” Rather, an ideal parent is someone who has the courage to acknowledge their child’s mistakes and guide them toward becoming better human beings.

When children make mistakes, they need correction, guidance, and sometimes discipline. They need someone who can lovingly tell them, “What you did was wrong, and you must learn from it.”

Many parents, out of affection, cover up their children’s mistakes. They justify unacceptable behavior, defend wrongdoing, and shield their children from consequences. While such actions may appear to be acts of love, they often create long-term harm.

Because when children never face accountability, they begin to believe that actions have no consequences.

A child who is never corrected may eventually become an adult who hurts others without remorse. They may deceive people, disrespect relationships, break hearts, or make reckless decisions that negatively affect society as a whole.

Perhaps if children are taught empathy and accountability early in life, they will think twice before causing pain to someone else.

The scolding they receive today may prevent them from breaking someone’s heart tomorrow.

Discipline, when given with love and wisdom, is not cruelty. It is guidance. It is protection. It is an investment in the future.

Society often speaks about raising successful children, but success alone is not enough. We must raise kind children. Honest children. Responsible children. Children who understand that every action affects another human being.

Because the future of society depends not merely on educated minds, but on compassionate hearts.

Therefore, my humble message to all parents is simple: if you want your children to become ideal human beings, first strive to become ideal parents yourselves.

Be the example you want your children to follow.

Teach them honesty.

Teach them empathy.

Teach them responsibility.

Teach them that love is not merely a feeling — it is a commitment, a sacrifice, and above all, a responsibility.

Only then can we hope to build a generation that values both love and humanity.
